Open Lord

The Open Lord of Waterdeep is the face of the city's government, often a well-respected and wise individual. Behind the Open Lord stands a council of Masked Lords, who do not know each other's identities, to ensure a fair and incorruptible governance. The position was introduced by Ahghairon, and is currently held by Lady Laeral Silverhand. Notable Open Lords have been Lord Fjålar Nidskadiir Rumnaheim, Lady Enna Holimnion and Lord Dagult Neverember.
