A Ship of Full of Feyr

Some of the crew seem to be getting drained and the party becomes concerned when Zaufanie suffers an attack.

Plot points/Scenes

The Man of Dry Bones has smuggled aboard several feyr to eliminate the party. They will go after the crewmembers first and culminate in attacking Zaufanie. The party will find the following:   1. Dalvanak will be able to tell from the minds of those who are attacked that they suffered extreme mental distress (psychic damage) and have impressions of the victims having seen something horrifying.   2. Grewarum will be able to determine that some sort of illusion magic would have been necessary since people like Loup and Zaufanie are incapable of being surprised.   3. Darius will recall that a similar thing happened on a ship he served where the crew seemingly died in their sleep.   4. Garrakas notes that there is a large, potato sized hole in the floor into the storage deck.   5. Garlith recalls, growing up on the street, that there was something people called the Fear Plague.   6. Thaddius knows that there are aberrations that feed on dreams from his time with the Seekers. The reason he knows this is classified because it is form of punishment among the Seekers.   If the party does not have a means of seeing invisibility, Rudewort says he can create a spectroscope that will be able to see the invisible creature. It will take about an hour. In that time, the party can attempt to investigate the cargo hold. Faire fire will cause them to be outlined in the fire. Detect magic will not work since it is not a spell effect.   There are six feyrs in the cargo hold. They come from a cargo box that, upon a DC10 investigation check, reveals that it is a fake. After dealing with the feyrs, Zaufanie will insist the party investigate for him as he recovers. He says he put Loup in charge of the cargo.   Clues:   1. Loup was in charge of storing the cargo. He let Crapo be in charge because he was busy eating some raw meat. He will not admit this unless the party--specifically Garrakas--fights him in a boxing match.   2. Crapo was feeling too dried out to do the inventory so he told Strix to do it. He won't admit this unless the party find him some water to rest in.   3. Strix was busy in the crow's nest making it into an actual nest and didn't do the inventory. He told Gups to do it. He doesn't need convincing.   4. Gups was stealing food from the galley and won't admit this unless the party force him down and search his bulging pockets which show the stolen food. He told Provato to do it.   5. Provato let one of the dockhands bring it aboard and just signed for everything, including one shipment for Dragonrock from a thin man who said he was a representative of the Ostiopro Trading House. The bill of lading is a clear forgery. A DC 10 investigation check reveals that the address for the trading house is in a place on Dragonrock that would be impossible for a trading house to be: the Elven District. Its the same street as Dr. Elvarion's old house. Grewarum would notice that the signature includes a symbol he's seen in his research on the Necronomicon: a skull with an ouroboros for eyes. It is the sign of the Man of Dry Bones.
