Session V: What a Tangled Web We Weave Report

General Summary

Three of the party come around the alley, wary of attack: Dalvanak, Faddius, and Grewarum. Three rough characters are down the alley and engage them in combat. Yet, as the first assailant falls, he dissipates in fiery ichor, indicating he was a fiend. The party found themselves fighting three bearded devils in disguise, explaining why normal weapons and some spells were less effective. Besting the devils, the party looked about for clues about their assailants, finding that whoever is behind the murders, sent these assassins. The party reported back to Lieutenant Suvorov who told them not to say anything about the devils as the Celestial Regiment would claim jurisdiction and that was unpleasant. While leaving, the cheery desk clerk gave Dalvanak a note he could not open and was told to read it when he got home. The party cam back to the Ocean's Wake, greeted by Brassons who asked if they were nearer to finding the culprit of the gauntlet. The party told them they had leads and Brassons said he got a new cook who made brains. Ethically sourced brains that is.
