Session VII: Devil's in the Details Report
General Summary
The party battled with the chain devil, all the while he tried to threaten and bribe Grakas with the knowledge of the face he assumed, the face of the man who put him in the potato sack.
After finishing the devils, the party cleaned out the shop of valuables and the crystal hearts. Upon exiting, they meet an astral elf named Darius. He said that Brassons had sent him to them as a good group to finish a job he had received. The party agreed and took Darius along with them to the Streltsy office to deliver Jelfi and their report on the murders. Faddius decides to go back to Brassons's.
Upon meeting with the overly cheery receptionist, the party delivered their report to the investigating sergeant and they received payment. They left the office and travelled through town to a broken down inn. Outside was a greasy looking halfling who was representing the people looking to acquire the place. He tells them that the previous proprietor had gone on a murder spree and her ghost still haunts the place. He asks them to exorcise the place for him and the party agrees.
The party enters the hotel and a ghostly butler greets them in a reception room that looks shockingly clean while the hotel is . After some negotiation, they give the ghost a nice broom and he permits them to go further. Dalvanak attempts to go upstairs but falls through the floor and falls into the common room.
Entering into the common room, Darius and Dalvanak feel drained by the encroaching shadows that fill the room. Garakas and Grewarum resists. Coming to the kitchen door, Dalvanak and Grewarum use mind blasts and moonbeams to fill the shadow filled room with death before the shadows of the hotel reach out and subsume them.
