Session VIII: The Shadow Mansion Job Report

General Summary

After the disappearance of their companions, Garakas and Darius find that only one shadow remained and he escapes into the rest of the hotel. Faddius returns, finding a Plasmoid asking about the people who investigated Kendrin's murder as he had been looking for the gemcutter. Faddius brings him inside to talk to the party. After some introductions, they all began to search the hotel. One room they open has the ghost of a noblewoman. After Faddius insults her, he slowly closes the door and walks away. Inspecting another common bedroom, they hear snarling on the other side of a door leading to a bathroom. Opening it, a black dog made of shadows comes forth and attacks along with three other shadows.
In the ensuing battle, several party members begin to feel drained from the touch of the shadows, though they steadily gain the upper hand.
