Session XIII: Neogi Boarding Party Report

General Summary

With the Neogi ship holding the Widdershins in its spider legs. Upon their deck, umber hulks stand ready to swing aboard. Garlith asks Zaufanie what they should know about the Neogi ship. He tells the party that they have a command deck on a lower level and that the party needs to get down there and disable the spider legs. He tells them neogi ships typically have anywhere between 12 and 20 crew with umberhulks used as shock troops.
Umber hulks are swung onto the deck and begin to attack Darius and Garlith. Darius struck back at an umber hulk with his Rite of the Storm, dealing a lightening blow to the monster. Dalvanak then used his psionic power to stun the umber hulks, but that did not help Garlith attempting to retreat and fire his crossbow at the beast, the pitching deck throwing off his shot. Garrakas charged forward and began to hack at the umber hulks with his greatsword. Then, six neogi pirates swing aboard and severely damage the party. Dalvanak hears them speaking in Undercommon that they are looking for a red-haired person. 
Zaufanie arrives in his armor and gives support. He tells the party they need to get to the enemy deck after luring some of the neogi and throwing a grenade opening up their deck. With some breathing space created through tough fighting, Darius teleports to their deck, finding a dead Neogi spellcaster and a humanoid trapped in the lifejammer. Realizing he can't read the controls, he calls to Dalvanak to come down. The illithid obliges but the neogi are alerted to their presence.
