Session XXXIV: Into the Mines! Report

General Summary

The battle continued with Garlith, Faddius, Dalvanak, and Darius taking down rust monsters. Grewarum continued his investigation of the hole the rust monsters came from and brought the cavern down to block the hole. Meanwhile, Krato and Eloise overhear the bandits that took over the mine talking about how they ransacked the place to find the deed but could not. After the rest of the party comes back up from the mine, they meet up with Krato and Eloise. In talking to the bandits, a fight breaks out and they quickly dispatch the trio. 
As Dalvanak eats the brains of one, he gains memories of a figure that the man was running from, a sinister crime boss on Dragonrock named the Pakhan who is not what he seems. The party search the mine and find the remaining piece of the deed in the living quarters on the first level. With the united pieces, they find the agent for House Mourne on the Rock of Bral does not want the deed as it seems too costly to run now. Returning to Divisional Commissar Icefang and attempt to return the deed. He does not want it as the idea of property ownership is meaningless to them. He expects some offworlders to fulfill the terms of the easement and that is now the party since they have the documents. He submits paperwork for them to be paid and hands them a chest of 5000 gold pieces and a small orb that he says is magical. 
The orb is one of the beholder artifacts and the party take it back to the ship. While on the docks, they overhear that the dwarven citidel of Vasterhem is having a refugee and unemployment crisis, which may solve their problem with a mine and no workers. The party set sail for Selune at the center of the tears to follow a lead from Zaufanie about another orb. On the way, they witness another brutal battle between IEN and scro ships.
