Dawn of the Black March

It began with an act of Fratricide. The patriarch of the Black family, High Guidance Alabaster Black, sought to take control of the Addarian Empire. It was a bold and ambitious desire. One many thought impossible. There were too many who opposed him, even his own brother, Magistrate Ciphis Black, was among those adversaries. He was a few years younger than Alabaster and had taken the path of politics instead religion, nontheless he'd managed to achieve a great deal of power and influence. Together, they would have been unstoppable. But they did not agree on what the future of the Addani nation should look like.

Alabaster's greed and passions ran rampant. He was convinced that his calling was greater than family bonds, and he ought to do whatever was necessary to secure the future he was destined for. So, he had his own brother assassinated, poisoned at a ceremonial dinner. Negotiations for the southern land of Ewend, the (Eastrath) were to take place over food and wine, but imperial intelligence advised that the Beryshians dignitaries were never going to agree to the terms. So High Guidance Black capitalized on the circumstance and murdered his brother and framed the Faelyns  for it. He used the murder to stir fear and hatred in the hearts of the Addani peoples. He fueled their sense of superiority against the peoples of the East, and begun a horrible and violent inquisition. At first, his victims consisted of any remaining opponents in the High Tribunal, they all either turned up dead or went missing. Then, he turned his eye onto all foreigners and half-bloods. Horror and fear ensued. Before long, High Guidance Alabaster Black appointed himself Supreme Guidance Alabaster Black and took control over the church and the state. All of the Addani Empire belong to him. He summoned the Black March to Getera and the rest of the Addarian lands, and used them to execute his dark will. A new age has dawned in Obora, the Age of the Black March.
