Melisternianism
Not to be confused with the Empire of Melistern or the Sun Church, their religion.
Melisternianism, also known as Melistersuna, is the accepted name for the loosely connected sets of esoteric quasi-religious beliefs supported by the NPR Thenos. Even though the state bans religious belief, Melisternianism is tolerated even within the government for its extreme pro-government stance and beneficial effects for propoganda purposes.

Core Beliefs
In its essence, Melisternianism can be described as a form of ancestor worship. Specifically, it glorifies and romanticizes the Melisternian common ancestors of all the Arteri Humans, yet does so by portraying them as superior creatures, halfway between man and god. They are told to have had longer lifespans, immunity to many diseases and curses and an unmatched mastery over magic and with it the world. The reason how they had these things leads back in the second core essential part of the beliefs: the belief in blood, specifically pure, non-mixed blood, granting mystical powers to descendants, even now after the disappearance of arcane magic after the establishment of the Equilibrium.
