Sała Maraman (Sawa Maraman)
This article is about the Melisternian religious image of the sun. For the celestial body, see The Sun .
Sała Maraman is the Melisternian god of the sun, or to be precise, the Sun Church believes that the sun is in fact the distant face of the creator god Maraman behind the blue sky, which they see as the evil cloak of Morafriþ, the evil god of misfortune. Important to note is that within the doctrine of the Sun Church, Sała Maraman is less a god of the sun and more literally the sun. As all powers that are given to him are those that literally hail from the sun. Matters like warmth, light, the growth of crops, the forming of the rainbow, protection against the "deep elf", source of mana.
