The Parallel Planar Cosmology
The Parallel Planes is the name for the commonly accepted interplanar cosmology of West-Argo, specefically that of, as the name implies, the planes that lie parallel to the Material Plane. Besides that one, there are 3 other paralel planes; namely the Plane of Echoes, the Etherial Plane and the Vale of Dreams.
The Cycle of Echoes
The basic concept of the Parallel Planes is one where echoes of one plane resonate into the next one in the cycle, gradually becoming weaker with every itteration. Echoes from the Material Plane resonate into the Plane of Echoes, then weaker into the Etherial Plane, to maybe then resonate back to the Material Plane. The same goes for echoes from all planes. For example, if a spirit in the Etherial Plane would cut a mountain tree in his plane, it may cause a mudslide in the parallel Material Plane, even though the tree in the Material Tree still stands, but was aided by the force from other planes keeping the mud under its roots. The same might even echo through to the Plane of Echoes, although the force a single cut tree is generally too small to be noticed two steps in the cycle. This is why powerful forces from the Etherial Plane are noticed quicker in the Material Plane than those from the Plane of Echoes, although the same the inhabitants on that plane can say about powerful forces in the Material Plane in relation to those in the Etherial. It is a cycle, a cycle of reinforcing energetic echoes.The Vale of Dreams
However a fourth parallel plane lies in the centre of the three others, the Vale of Dreams. Connected to all other parallel planes, it does not influence any of them in a direct way. Instead, the Vale of Dreams is a place between the planes completly made up of it's combined echoes, reaching this plane in equal meassure at all times, an oddity amongst the planes. The Vale of Dreams is most commonly known, as the name implies, by being the metaphysical plane of existance the consciousness reaches when dreaming. Since the plane is built upon the very echoes of all planes, including those brought with the dreaming conciousness in the form of the memories in its mind, the Vale tends to conform to the echoes that entered the region last.
