Wyverns

Also known as False Dragons, the Wyverns are a family of creatures that characterise themselves by being smaller, dumber, more animalistic as well as more numerous than their true dragon counterparts. They are recognizable by having only 2 limbs besides their wings just like birds, although some types of Wyverns have claws at the end of their wings. They are mortal creatures, with most subspecies of Wyverns living up to 500 years before passing of old age, although few ever reach that age.
