Akatash's Caul

Wondrous Item - legendary - requires attunement by a creature that sleeps  
A pitch-black, yielding hide with an ashen, rubbery texture, the Caul is the husk of a kalaraq quori or "eyebinder", one of the 30 rulers of the quori. Calling themself Akatash, this skin was all that was left of the spirit after their destruction. Touching the bright red inside of the skin causes immediate dreamlike hallucinations, while donning it as a cloak lets it shroud the wearer in dreams and mental energy.   Shrouded Mind. While you wear Akatash's Caul, you have resistance to psychic damage.    Walker in Dream. Once during each long rest, as long as you sleep during this rest you may cast the dream spell with yourself as a messenger, without expending a spell slot or any material components.    Hallucinogenic Shroud. The Caul can be wielded as a net, with which you are proficient while attuned to it, and which cannot be destroyed by slashing damage. A creature which is restrained by the Caul at the start of its turn, or which willingly touches the inside of the Caul, must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or be subjected to the effects of the confusion spell until the end of its next turn.   Spellcasting. While attuned to the Caul, you may cast the spells confusion, arcane eye and eyebite once each using your spell save DC, recharging after you complete a long rest.
