Discorporator

Wondrous item - very rare
A heavy, tube-covered breastplate and backpack, made of dozens of joined plates in various metals. Glass tubing pumps complex patterns of liquid silvery metals between the panels, the whole contraption seeming to thrum with poorly contained power. Upon pushing open a pair of valves at the hips, a surge of liquid vaporizes outwards, and the wearer is teleported.   The Discorporator is a magic item with 6 charges, and can no longer regain charges after modifications. As a bonus action, the wearer can expend a charge, teleporting up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space they can see. Deadly quicksilver then vents in a 10ft. radius around the space they just left. Any creature in the radius must succeed on a DC15 Constitution saving throw, suffering 1d10 necrotic damage on a fail or half damage on a pass. This damage increases by 1d10 for each charge expended in the last minute.   Cursed: The nature of the pack makes it inherently deeply unstable. When used, the wearer suffers 2d10 force damage, increasing by 1d10 for each charge expended in the last minute.   If this damage reduces the wearer to 0 hit points, the teleportation goes horribly wrong, and they die as they arrive at their destination, their body and non-magical possessions reduced to a mixture of dust, severed body parts and organic mush.
