The long-dead Archfey ruler of Shae Tirias Tolai, the fallen feyspire. Her ghost still haunted the spire's ruins, trapped in this world by old Giant magic, where she ruled over the other fey in an eternal search for more lives and stories to record.
A legendary figure who appears in dozens of incarnations across cultures, she is a guide of souls and recorder of the dead, seen meeting with spirits as they pass on. When a noble figure needs information about a long-dead hero, she appears as the sage with quill and book in hand. When the protagonist of a story dies, she appears to guide them into Dolurrh and ensures they won't be forgotten. When a ghost lingers too long and refuses to move on, she is the black-robed figure that pulls them to the next world.
However, after millennia trapped as a spirit after the ancient Giants destroyed her city, her purpose unable to be completed, she had lost herself. She let the other spirits of the tower attempt to create new stories and new lives to record, allowed the Giant magic keeping them all trapped to break down their minds, all the better to build them back into something new. And when the heroes of Beacon arrives, she clung to the world desperately, insisting that she herself was never meant to have an ending, and attempted to stop them breaking the soul-trapping cage.
Inkeyes was defeated by the heroes after navigating her illusory narratives, and shown mercy. Using the Giant magic as it was intended, her spirit was sent to the Forge of Hours, where she was allowed to be reincarnated into the body of a proto-warforged construct.
