Session 16 - Under The Statue - Mafaldine's Notes

General Summary

3 giants approaching the town, scanning the horizon (Goldat and the mother and father)
Mae sprints (Naruto runs) over to greet them.
Staff is topped with an altered version of Balinor’s symbol
Iltani far west amongst the mountains and rainforest. Near the headsprings of the river.
Baenor’s Pass used to be a quarry, good quality stone for potential fortifications.
The group gives us a pair of nightvision goggles.
Rakki ask’s maetica for a piggy back ride
She declines, instead dropping him into a nearby tree.
After I fly up and grab Rakki we sort our gear out and head to the giant statue
At the statue the group beings to investigate the traces of the previous parties conflicts and discoveries
One was a plague regarding Adaxus, the original founder of the Sulat league.
We descend a level and find a large stone door.
Gideon left a note saying if the doors are closed we could use the cyclindrical keys that were in the ruins.
We use a key we found previously to open the door, we light the way and descend some stairs
Rakki leads the way down to a room, the stairs descend further. There is a sign that says danger, just keep going down the entrance to the complex is down there. Already lost one person down here. The room has an iron chest that is immense. The room was made for a giant, a huge stone doorway on the far wall.
I find an old charred body under a blanket, fair amount of dust on the blanket. Definitely heavy fire damage, male, human/elf/half-elf, body is around seven months old. Body was dragged over here, scorch marks on a far wall. A giant’s dagger rests near the body. Very ornate. I find handwritten notes that are half burnt on the corpse.
The secret door glows with evocation.
The large door glows with several varieties of magic, there is a set of four sockets, each of which have a simple symbol carved above them. Mother of pearl inlay and gold filigree join them with symbols. The symbols are of the four elements, slots are octohedric in shape.
The chest contains apparently the four gems we need and a large bronze slab with giant text.
The notes seem to be the dead guys journal.
I eat some Bullette Bao Zi and say plus ultra. My strength increases to 21. Damn it feels good to be buff. My shirt rips and tears as Shiv helps me open the door.
Suddenly a fiery/steamy monster appears from behind the door

I’m on fire but it’s ok cause Illalai pours water on me. It pours down my rippling muscles as steam sprouts from my form.
We deal with the elemental handily
Illalai, Deborah and myself disassemble an elemental making machine. We harvest 50kg of Arcane Parts 500g for the construction of the workshop.
We attempt a new configuration and use the special dagger to open the door.
