Session 5 - Under the Glass Anchor - Shivaren's Journal
Shivarrens Journal Entry
“I find my self in the infirmary again. This is becoming an undesirable habit if I am being completely honest. Tonight, I and a group of other townfolk I have adventured with in the past decided that we should finally confront Elanora about our suspicions.
Unfortunately, I don't think the exchange went the way anyone expected and turned into a rather awkward house visit more than anything else. There is definitely something she is not saying but I am not so bold as to pry into the personal matters of others. I wish the same could be said for some of my other companions but no such luck.
Before things could become too tense, we were interrupted by the contractors working on the glass anchor. They seemed to have broken through to something, but not sure where or what they had found.
We rushed over and gingerly entered the newly discovered chamber. Inside we discovered a giant automation which was immediately hostile on our entry. It had incredible strength, spat fire, acid, not to mention the mechanical bugs which kept being spawned by two machines. It was tough bringing its own, but we managed it. I was wounded significantly, forge completely knocked out. It was far too close for comfort.
After things had quieted down, we discovered seemingly what was the remnants of a vast underground giant city which stretched beneath the entire expanse of the town and perhaps beyond. There still seemed to be something alive down there.
There are certainly more interesting things to come”
