Sleeping Tower Inscription

Inside a lead-lined Giant bedchamber, an inscription on the floor reads:
We guard our bodies with honoured slaves We shield our dreams with metal from deep This war we fight on field and street Slaying them where their armies creep But they fight our resting minds, In where we go when our bodies sleep
Hettie theorised they were talking about the Quori, ancient dream spirits long banished from the world who warred with the Giants.
