A palm-sized wooden spool, threaded with unyielding golden thread that glows very faintly in the light. The spool has a limited length of thread, containing 100m when found. The spool can only be rewound by the fey Court of Time, using their looms. You can expend the thread to cast the following spells: hunter's mark (1m of thread), warding bond (2m), death ward (4m), telepathic bond (4m), sequester (7m), and tether essence (7m), using the expended thread in place of any of the spell's material components. In addition, as a bonus action you may prepare and charge a web of thread in one hand. Until the start of your next turn, when a creature makes a melee or ranged attack against you, or uses a spell or ability that only targets you, you may expend 2m of thread to force the creature to make a DC 17 Charisma save. If they fail, any damage dealt by the triggering attack is also dealt to the attacking creature as necrotic damage.
