The Silver Flame

The Silver Flame is the pure abstract entity of goodness and law. The Church of the Silver Flame follows the direction of the Silver Flame and focus primarily on eradicating supernatural forms of evil across Khorvaire and beyond, but the Flame is much older than the church, long worshipped by many ancient cultures such as the serpentine Shulassakar.

The Silver Flame is the force of light that holds fiends at bay. Those who seek to defend the innocent from evil can draw on the power of the Flame.

Ketsidsidis is a devout follower of the Flame's ancient traditions. The Silver Flame was born during the Age of Demons, when the couatls combined the souls of their race into a spiritual force that could bind the demons away. Since then, it has been a consistent force of good in the world, empowering people to fight back against the forces of darkness in the world. But the Flame is not an intelligent or controlling force, and they have a history of corruption in the clergy, overzealous paladins and purges gone too far, leaving them not well liked by many shifters, tieflings and changelings. In Khorvaire, the country of Thrane is a theocracy ruled by The Church of the Silver Flame, founded by Tira Miron. Tira was a paladin 700 years ago, and was called by the Silver Flame, giving her life to bind one of the impossibly ancient, immortal demon overlords - Bel Shalor, the Shadow in the Flame. After her sacrifice, a pillar of silver fire manifested, and is the centre of the modern Church and worship.
