The Undying Court

The elves of Aerenal refuse to let their greatest souls be lost to the oblivion that is Dolurrh and the afterlife. The wisest and most accomplished elves are preserved after death, becoming members of the Undying Court. The devotion of the living elves sustains the Undying Court, and the Court generates a well of mystic energy that empowers their clerics. Aereni clerics are granted powers flowing from the Court itself, allowing them to serve its will and to protect their people.
The Deathless form the council that leads the Aereni elves, keeping millennia of knowledge and experience for their people. Despite being undead, they are sustained by the faith of their people and the proximity of their home to Irian, the plane of light. On the surface, they are similar to a lich, but empowered by positive energy, and believing that traditional undead animated by negative energy are a scourge on the world.
Of all the religions of Eberron, the Undying Court is most grounded in the world. The Court stands in the city of Shae Mordai, and as an Aerenal elf, you could seek an audience with one of your deathless ancestors. A devotee of the Undying Court recognizes it as the power that sustains their civilization and as an assembly of their greatest sages and leaders. Should one accomplish great achievements in their life, they could aspire to join the Court.
