Mission of Xaedrinian, Aagandaur, Sylavor and Khatar to find missing children

General Summary

Having made our way from the port city under escort (cloudspears who originate from the port town (port treadway)). (Yegroth, also known as mistwood) 20 man escort changed out halfway   Rumors we have heard:   Wellerson farm: south of town. One of the guards mentions to you on your journey to Yegtroth that a farm south of town has had 2 children have gone missing. Arabis Farm: north of town. A guard tells about the fat halfling farmer reporting his wards of protection have been desecrated. Guard report: east of town. Another guard reports of something near the brick mud pits out near the lake. Young trees snapped in half and large beastial footprints in the mud. They think it an Ogre or Giant     Our group decides to find the children (teethlings)   This isn't the first missing person, the previous case was similar   In both cases, they vanished without a trace   We decide to go to town first in order to interview parents.   We approach the town from the east, past the troll pyres   After reaching the town we decide to split up and see if we can gather more information on the situation before meeting back at the well after an hour Aagandaur goes to the tavern - he discovers nothing concrete before securing a room there Sylavor heads to the Mayor's office (The Mayor's a grey-haired man in his 60s) in order to speak with him - He discovers that the children should know better than to leave the town to play. Khatar heads to the edge of the woods and searches around them for clues, he finds nothing and somehow manages to twist his ankle. Xaedrinian gathers information from around town, sees that the barracks hold about 100 men, the market holds fruit, grain, wildflowers, a variety of races in town. He encounters a Tortle. He encounters a Catwoman who informs him that the other missing person was a dwarf who left by the same gate that would lead to the farm. We head SE from the town, the path curves for .25 mile south, cross a bridge, 500 yards past bridge veers off due south, rest of road goes SE. The farm is 5 miles due south of the city.   We leave and arrive at the farmhouse without issue. There are towers with guards in at the farmhouse. There's a disgruntled guard there who feels underappreciated by the town We learn the Father of the children is in the orchard (south of the house by a half mile) Sylavor goes to speak to the Father, he knows nothing of the missing dwarf and is very unimpressed with the cloudspears The rest of us go to the house at first, Aagandaur knocks on the door, speaks to the mother. After speaking with her he returns with some items of the children for Luna to use for scenting them. None of them find any useful information   Luna scents the children and runs off after the scent, running south we follow her. Xae is flying Khatar lags behind due to his twisted ankle, after they slow down he catches up. Luna still has the scent. They are a mile south of the farm, there's a clearing of chopped trees. They keep going into the thick woods before luna slows down, sniffing as if she's missing something Khatar spots a large circle of mushrooms that seem familiar, he sees hoof prints that stop there Khatar relays this info to the rest, Sylavor casts a guidance cantrip on him. Khatar looks again and recognizes that it's a portal to the fey realm Aagandaur, Sylavor and Xaedrinian head through the portal whilst khatar heads back to the farm to relay the information Luna heads through the portal first followed by Aagandaur, Sylavor and then Xaedrinian. Once in the fae realm they see some flags upon a hill, Luna points towards that. The hill is north Xae flies up in order to see more. He sees a griffin 400 yards away to the west along the treeline He flies higher and sees that the flags follow a path beyond the hillside. There are 3 small figures acting strangely further down that path. He descends, relaying this information. Whilst they await Khatar's return Aagandaur heads back to mistwood in order to talk to the Mayor Khatar leaves a marked trail to the portal from the farm. He leaves a clear trail and words to show the path and where/what the portal does. Meanwhile, the sun is starting to set in the Fae wild (it was around 2pm when they entered) When Khatar joins them they make their way up the hill, Xae sees there's a camp with a couple of centaurs in. It's colorful with flowers. Khatar goes in first, there seems to be a party. He sees a couple of children seated upon a unicorn, Satyrs, fae elves. After speaking to a couple of the Satyrs The boy is named Valros, the girl is joy. Khatar and Xae enter, leaving their weapons outside the camp Sylavor stays hidden on the edges before deciding to join them (with invisible weaponry) The Fae Elf Lord is being attended to, it is his birthday and he has requested that there be children to attend him for this. Xae intends to talk to him in order to return the children to their parents after the festivities. Khatar says to the high elf that he has a present for the high lord before introducing himself to him. He presents some good berries to him The high lord is rather fascinated with Xae's wings, Xaedrinian presents him with a partially scaled over feather. The high lord is very pleased with both Khatar and Xae The high lord knows nothing of the missing dwarf. After speaking with the children the children decide to leave with them. The camp gives them a hearty farewell. Upon leaving the portal they discover soldiers there who have come searching for the group. 3 days have passed in the mortal realm since they entered.
