Goliath
Goliaths live in small tribes that number between forty and sixty goliaths. This is usually made up of three to five extended families. Most goliaths live in the same tribe their entire life. On rare occasions, a tribe that got too large would split into smaller tribes or smaller tribes would merge together.
Goliath skin is littered with bony growths called "lithoderms". These growths were roughly the size of a coin and appear like studded pebbles on their arms, shoulders, torso or head.
Goliaths have noticeably bony or prominent supraorbital ridges above their eyes. Goliath eyes are often a bright blue or green and sometimes glow a little.
The Spine of the World in the North is home to two rival goliath clans who fiercely competed for territory and resources: the Akannathi from Skytower Shelter and the Thuunlakalaga from Wyrmdoom Crag.
Goliaths were not afraid to mix with other cultures or travel. By the late 15th century DR, small numbers of goliath sellswords could be found as far away as the Sword Coast. Tarmalune is home to a small number of goliaths.

Description
Goliath skin is often gray or brown and is extremely tough (often compared to stone). One of the most distinctive features of the goliath is the darker (often vertically symmetrical) patches of skin that cover their entire bodies. Goliaths believe that these markings somehow explained or controlled their fate or destiny. For this reason, goliaths never tattooed themselves as this could affect their future.Goliath skin is littered with bony growths called "lithoderms". Homelands
Many of the goliath homelands are in the mountain ranges in northeast Faerûn. The Thesk Mountains, Mountains of Copper, Sunrise Mountains, and Icerim Mountains are known to have goliath tribes. Mountain ranges in and around Chult and northern Anauroch (particulary Azirrhat, where they compete with asabi for resources) also is a home to goliath populations. The Spine of the World in the North is home to two rival goliath clans who fiercely competed for territory and resources: the Akannathi from Skytower Shelter and the Thuunlakalaga from Wyrmdoom Crag.

Religion
Most goliath tribes revered nature and the primal forces. Goliath shamans were known as "skywatchers" or "sunspeakers". They also worshiped a pantheon of six deities:- Kavaki, the Ram-Lord, is the guardian and creator deity of the goliaths.
- Kuliak, the Dead Goddess, is said to have once been a goddess of mountain springs, but was spurned by the other gods after she overslept and failed to lead the goliaths to water. Thus she became instead the goddess of the dead and of exiles.
- Manethak, the Wise Hunter, is the god of both hunting and knowledge.
- Naki-Uthai, the Brave Climber, is the god of mountains, climbing, and bravery.
- Theleya, the Fertile One, is the goddess of fertility and growth.
- Vanua, the Harbinger of Woe, is the god of natural disasters and misfortune.
