Orcish Jump Packs

Travelers to the Zavgeh Desert have seen things shoot across the sky between the Orcish cities and settlements. What they have encountered is the Orcish Flying Legion, a group of troops, scouts, and messengers who traverse the wastes using a pack that they strap to their back which propels them over long distances with ease. The packs use a combination of powder, magic, and engineering know how to send these flyers through the air. While not necessarily a long term flight, the packs act to simulate a very long jump.
