Banook

On the northwest edge of the Great Forest, the hamlet of Banook is surrounded by dense conifers and mossy bogs. Outcroppings of pale granite covered in lichen jut from the earth, which are used in the construction of the towns stone cottages. The gnomes who live here are a hardy people, sustaining themselves on hunting and foraging, though they do trade goods with the occasional wandering traveller. Many are skilled in stonework and wood carving, and will happily barter their wares for books, tools, and other trinkets. The gnomes of Banook feel a strong kinship to their Fey relatives, often working alongside the brownies, dryads, and korreds to protect their homelands.
What a beautiful little village, so quaint, and so friendly. How it manages to exist on the edges of the wild I just don't understand. I will certainly recommend to all my friends!
