The Garden

A magical demi-plane created by the arch mage Porpherio Profoundeus.
This place of tanquillity and peace was the home to Porpherio and his wife Caerwyn.
Porpherio's power was derived in part, from a pact with the The Witch Queen.   When Caerwyn fell with child, this first born was requested as the payment for the pact.  Caerwyn and Porpherio used all their power to escape the bargain.  This culminating their daughter Malice Moon being lost in space and time, and being replaced by Sarulana.   
Not to be out outmaneuvered the Witch Queen sent a gift to Malice in the form of a book, a parallel of which was also held by Sarulana who as an infant had been placed in the Astral Plane.   When Malice activated her book this announced her presence to the queen, though a series of dream sequences.  The final of these drew Sarulana to The Garden where she brought the Queen herself through a magical potion which she fed to Malice.  The queen then commenced her destruction of the garden which succumbed gradually to the Shadowfell from which it had been created.   
In its time the Garden was a haven of tranquility, populated by many woodland and fae creatures.   An Arch-fae:  The Green Man  dwelt there after the death of Popherio, tending for its inhabitants.  
The entrance of The Garden was to be found on the island of Sybar.   Entry was through a waterfall which flowed so slowly it appeared solid to the touch. 
Time in the garden passes much slower than in the outside world.
