These are Some Nice Buns

General Summary

The party, having witnessed the horrific ritual of the Big Market, are offered a choice of dark or light meat rolls. Quickly realising these are the flesh of the orc and elf that were ritually killed, they pretend to eat the rolls and make their way off the island to Left Calving. Joom Jim, oblivious, eats his roll-and-elf with abandon. The DM noted that the humanman that served their rolls has a cracking bum.
Arriving in Left Calving, the party are aggressively challenged by a group consisting of a goblin, a couple of trolls, an orc, an ogre and their pet spider. Sensing that they are cruising for a bruising, Ianpip Urina Lilly Sakasys Verin uses prestidigitation to amplify her voice. This brings Cool Jazz's secretary, Harridan, out of her house. The party remember her as the School Administrator from Malmeck's School for Adventurers, and she recognises the party in turn.
Harridan tells the party the full story of The Big Market, and asks them why they want to see Cool Jazz. They are unable to take her fully into their confidence, so she says she will do what she can to get them an audience.
Leaving Marches, the party decide to investigate the Western Forest. There they find traps designed specifically to keep humans out. A group of elves descends on them and, after satisfying themselves that they aren't a threat, escort them out of the forest to Yarn.
In Yarn, Pip introduces them to her friend Anna Mirfast. Anna serves them her elven tea, and the party all realise it was the same tea that Harridan had served them just a couple of days before. When asked, Anna says it is a family recipe and changes the subject.
