Personal history

Ascension to the throne. King Richard's ascension to the throne was tense, and at the time it was believed that a war could erupt. He was not well liked, and not even thought of as an effective ruler. Especially when many saw Aethal as not only the king's favorite, but an accomplished commander and warrior who would take a bid for the throne by paying the blood price. However, in the end Aethal would leave the kingdom with the goal of uniting the north, a campaign that Richard would fund.
