River King Sigiburg Lys (a.k.a. "The Riverborn", "The Azure Blight")

River King Sigiburg I Lys, founder of House Lys and known as the Riverborn. Of unknown origin, he was the first leader of the Riverfolk forces that invaded the westernlands during the beginning of the war of the two dragons.

Personal history

After having bested the Westfold for many years, Sigiburg would hold a coronation ceremony for himself. However, there's two conflicting accounts on this event. On one hand, a westerner priest that had been held in captivity, would claim that it was an attempt to mock the practices and traditions of the Westerners. And that the ceremony would have some sardonic parallels with a regular crowning ceremony, such as using river water instead of holy oils, or how he claimed himself the king of the river. However, his son Dagobert, and all of his descendants would claim otherwise, holding the ceremony as true and earnest.
