Messingen
Government
Part of the Duchy of Black Rock ruled by Graf Sigismund von Jungfreud from his castle at Black Rock.
The village elder is Heinrich Bruckner, the village scribe and tax-collector is Karl Tauber and the local Sigmarite Preist is Frau Maria Weisskopft
Defences
The village has no palisade as it is tucked close against the Grey Mountains and there is no pass through them to the west. The passes to the north and south are both guarded. The village does have a watch tower which is normally manned by two members of the village watch and the main purpose of which is to watch out for predators such as wolves or bears trying to steal livestock or food.
Industry & Trade
The main two activities of the village are metalworking and agriculture. Its main output for trade is weapons.
Infrastructure
The village is primarily built around an armoury run by Earnst Jaeger which produces weapons for the Imperial Armoury using the metal extracted from the mine at Hugeldal. However, it has one tavern 'The Hammer and Anvil' and the usual subsistence farming and hunting activities needed to keep the village fed.
Assets
There is a small stock of completed weapons stored in the village, and a discreet shrine to the god Ulric tucked away in the woods just outside the village which Frau WeissKopt chooses to ignore.
Guilds and Factions
Earnst Jaeger is a member of the Guild of Armourers.
