Merfolk

Merfolk posses the tail of a shark, grey skin, and gills on their ribs. They are fully carnivorous and as such their teeth are sharp to enable that sort of diet. They also have an excellent sense of smell and a high resistance towards the cold. Furthermore, merfolk have the ability to change their tails into legs, though they are unable to remain on land for extended periods of time, needing to periodically return to the water.   Since coming through the Rift most Merfolk have taken residence within Lake Felburn

Merfolk Racial Stats

Aquatic: Merfolk cannot drown in water and move at their full Pace when swimming. However they must immerse themselves in water one hour out of every 24 or become automatically Fatigued each day until they are
Incapacitated. The day after Incapacitation from dehydration, they perish. Each hour spent in water restores one level of Fatigue.
 
Sensory Organs: Merfolk have sensory organs allowing them to sense heat, halving illumination penalties when attacking targets that radiate heat.
 
Cold Resistance: Merfolk are adapted to live in frigid waters, granting them a +4 to rolls to resist the cold, as well as reducing cold damage by 4.
