Apologies for interrupting. Caryenda's outing to her previous home has proven somewhat lucrative. Amongst many older tomes, older than Caryenda herself, we happened upon a broken contraption, stuck in a time field.
Whilst the others solved whatever puzzle it was that her late husband had in place to halt our progress, I meddled with the field and forced it back into a place in time just before its destruction before dispelling the time warp. With some investigation, it can be used to slow time in a localised field surrounding it.
Unfortunately, it is also very fragile. I am loath to let just anyone touch it. I can make it work, however, so it can be put to use in the future. Should anyone wish to investigate more, I must insist that I am present. Chronomancy is challenging, and treacherous.

Yes, though they are written exclusively in Darnassian. While the elves amongst us will have no trouble making our way through them, the contents are aged. The only thing of use is that they offer a Highborne perspective on things that have already advanced within the last ten thousand years. Though sometimes, it's always worth going back to where things started when at a dead end.
