Ritual of Blessed Runes

Ritual mainly for Storm Screamers to gain blessings and greater power to use in the name of the Wheel. This ritual will crave much planning, effort and rare ingredients. Especially since the receiver of these powers have to be consulted and questioned to get the optimal results. The runes will give the wearer a powerboost, mainly from typical aspects of specific animals, elements and Loah’s, examples are wolf, Panther, Bat, Fire, Ice, Goldrinn. The effect is permanent and will give the recipient for example, the ability to change into a great White Wolf, but side-effects can and will mostly occur depending on the recepients physical and mental faculties.   This ritual was researched after a similar ritual was being crafted and performed to infuse the Storm Screamer Kara'zima with the ability to shapechange into a wolf.   The example ritual shown below is the version used for the blessing of Goldrinn for Kara'zima with revised changes to avoid bonding side-effect.

Addendum

Test has shown that recipients with undead skin will need to find a way to make sure the runes regenerate and trap the infused ink in their skin. The ritual seem to have the scarification as a focal point in the ritual, mixing the ink with their blood and trapping the Blessing into their skin.

Effect

The runes will give the wearer a permanent greater blessing or a boost of power, mainly from typical aspects of specific animals, elements or Loah’s, examples are wolf, Panther, Bat, Fire, Ice, Goldrinn.
The scarification will be permanent as well as quite visible and tied to the particular Blessing.
The effect is permanent and will give the recipient, for example the ability to change into a great White Wolf with all the physical attributes greatly enhanced.
Side-effects can and will mostly occur depending on the recipient’s physical and mental faculties.
While it could theoretically be possible to have several Blessings, I advise against it since it’s an even greater strain on one mind. It is also unsure how the different blessings would react to one another. Tests on subjects have shown that deterioration of the mind and body occurs if the subjects receive more than one blessing or is too weak bodily and mentally.
Thus a willing recipient should be well invested in the Ritual and its blessings to ensure unwanted effects.
Only one Blessing per ritual can be made as it would be far too complicated to invest more than one aspect into it.

    A brazier, lit.
Gestures & Ritual
The ingredients must be collected by the receiver of the Blessing rather than the one performing the ritual as all investment apart from performing the ritual needs to be from the receiver. The performer of the ritual should only be there as a neutral guide. If this rule is not adhered to, there will be complications. (Note Myrazijn: Myandra seems to have invested too much of herself into the ritual with Kara'zima, hence an interesting side-effect occurred where the two seemed to have involuntarily created a mental link).
Lay out the ingredients in the designated area, placing the one receiving the blessing in the middle of the circle. When everything is set out as per regular ritual instructions, items representing the different senses in a half-circle, starting with Mind on the left ending with Spirit at the utmost right side, as well as other items needed, close the circle with salt. Offer the ingredients, state their purpose and meaning, and place them on or around the one receiving the Blessing.
Then start to carve runes onto the recipient, cutting thin slices of skin off and rub the prepared ink into the wound. Position and shape and what runes to carve, should be planned and decided before hand to suit the specific recipient. In Kara'zima’s case the runes started at his arm, both left and right side, then continued up his shoulders, down over his collar bones and ended over his heart where a stylised wolf was carved.
Collect all the slices of skin into the bowl and offer it to Goldrinn, the Wolf Loah finalising the ritual, by tossing it into the brazier.
The effect should be immediate and in some cases violent. In this case, care should be taken to not destroy the circle in case any side-effects manifest until the recipient is under control. (Note Myrazijn: One would surmise that the unfortunate event of Kara'zima’s ritual could have been avoided if the circle had not been tampered with, sparing throats and arms ).
