Swarm Bots [ Attack Bots ]

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Placing a power source in the hollow core, due to the audience of the product it has been swapped out from magic to a more around the board power source allowing a coal engine as it's power source with exhausts going into it's smoke bombs, though if they become full it will divert the smoke out of it's back. though it is a coal engine. anything flammable can be placed inside as long as you have a way to light the flame such as a tinderbox a lighter or a fire spell, it should work.

How does the swarm work?

Having the same person or multiple people control will be hard but the bots will follow basic oral commands such as follow, swarm and attack. a full list will be placed down below and how you could get separate bots to do different actions.

How do you control them separately?

You can assign each bot a name by placing binary card into it's shoulder, it will register this as it's name and unless the name is specified it will reply with "Bots" or "Swarm bots". it will complete it's own name task before doing a group task and if a name task is done whilst a group one is happening it will terminate the command of the group task and continues with the name task.

Oral commands:

  • Stay - Stationary position
  • Follow - Follows the one whom said it or if a name in the registry is specified it will follow that individual
  • Charge - will move forward aiming for the nearest humanoid that is not part of the registry.
  • Defend - The bots will take defensive positions around a target
  • Stealth - they will reduce noise as much as possible and will move covertly still ordered otherwise
Further commands can be placed in a bot with a binary card into it's shoulder

Manufacturing process

Using the material previously mentioned the blacksmith will form a basic frame of the chest piece of the bot with a hollow core allowing for the fuel for to be placed within. The arms have now been connected to the bot and are made to be swift. The legs are attached and are made thin yet sturdy.

Significance

These bots are a way to keep casters safer then what they were. these bots work in swarms to attack and distract a target or if possible deter them from caster or vulnerable people and to move their view more towards the bots who in most cases will work as sacrificial pawns. this could help more than casters though such as diverting someones attention so an archer or a melee fighter could get the jump on them. They work in swarms due to they are not that aggressive weapon wise and they serve more of a threat in larger numbers. more info for this will be answered in the next question.
Raw materials & Components
The bots hands also used as weapons are made of tin a material that is both flexible and durable this material is also used for the bots core. Tin makes up the mass of the bot due to it's economical easiness to get a hold of and the lack of betting the materials is due to these being mainly distractions rather than an actual attack force.
