Ardelle Celestial
What was once the most beautiful of species is now the rarest. This species has not been sighted in decades. My fellow scholars believe they have been wiped from existence.
However, I intend to prove them wrong.

Also known as Celestials, Ardelle Celestials are dragons native to the Ardelle Mountains, an arctic region in northern Geolga famous for its deadly storms. Their name comes from their unique scale color, celeste. They are the only dragon species known to live in cold climates. They create miniature snow storms with their wings to confuse prey or rivals. They are also the only species capable of breathing ice instead of fire.
Most Celestials average about 65 in (165 cm) in height with the females slightly smaller than the males. This makes them the second smallest dragon species.
Exposure to cold climate has also given Celestials tougher scales and skin than most species of dragon, and they have an insulating layer of fat in their bodies. To add to their strange repertoire, they can also lower their body temperature, making their scales even harder than normal and potentially freezing any liquids they come in contact with.
Today, Celestials are among the rarest of dragon species, so much that most can't even identify them. Even before their disapearance from the world, male Celestials have been incredibly rare, so much so that it was once believed that Celesitals were female only.
