Geography
Rotho Harbor describes two areas, the city and the docks. The city itself is a small metropolis, complete with high rise buildings, a dedicated police force and all the entertainment centers a large beach town would have. The Docks on the other hand is where all the dirty work takes place.
Filthy, polluted, unsanitary and crime ridden are mere child's words in these ports. The docks are black with Kraken blood, the air is stenched thick in effluvium and the waters rot with the bodies of those "taken care of".
You think the Kraken Kage in Rotho Theatre is unsafe? Try walking the Docks with your pockets full.
Fauna & Flora
While the Docks themselves are filthy and rot-stained, the wildlife around it still remains beautiful.
The beaches are a perfect white and blue, flawless like a mirror. The flowers are tropical, the animals are topical and these rhymes are worthy of a slap in the face.
The waters teem with beautiful coral shrimp, shimmering sea shrikes and shoals of shiny, red Deprod eels.
The beach is filled with wonderful and lustrous coral. Though the occasional body can be found snagged between them, that's nothing but another meal for the carrion sharks. Crab legged, brown skinned and white eyed crustaceans. Their forms resemble that of an angry horseshoe crab with teeth.
A nuisance for fisherman, their diet of dead bodies and poisoned arowanna fish make them toxic, and their spikes and claws ruin fishing nets and cages. Such a shame too, their size and flesh would make a them wonderful 4 course meal.
Deadly problems for the honest, but clean up crews for the working men of the Docks.
Natural Resources
The city makes it's money through imports and tourism, owing most of their income to "The black market".
The black market, oh the black market how I love thee. Your wide selection of Kraken teeth and Fool Flesh make me giddy with excitement. With your wares, dredged from depths and stolen or smuggled. The buyers, from high and low, copper and gold, fat and poor. All ruled by no one, yet controlled by all hands.
