Molaesmyr Library

Name: "I golodh -o ammen all" (The Knowledge of All, in Elvish)

A vast library of knowledge that resides near the middle of the city. It has plenty of lore and can serve as a research base for the party, but it's knowledge is centered mostly on the elves, Molaesmyr and its circle of influence.

Purpose / Function

To provide research and knowledge of the elves of Molaesmyr. it now serves no one except for those ghost and demons that now haunt it's halls. The top floor was used as a research center for the creation of a portal to the Feywild. It had plenty of research on the subject and a small, 10ft mirror in a far corner room used for testing.

Architecture

A three-story building. The main entry hall fills all three stories with walkways along the middle way on all three stories but then hallways lead off into more sections of learning. A single set of stairs connects the 3 floors along the back wall. More stairs exist in the furthest corners of the library. In the other sections, the shelves connect almost like a maze.

History

Most recently, the library was found by an expedition from Uthodern. They were uncovering some secrets when they were attacked by yuan-ti cultists of Zehir and nearly wiped out, with the exception of a dwarf named Groofrolim Steelshoulder. He managed to escape. He hid in nearby buildings, hoping that the cultists would leave, for 4 days. He was crossing the street to a different building when he was attacked by a giant ankheg brood queen. He ran away from it and came across The Party, who promptly caused it enough pain for it to run away into the ground. The party the joined with Groofrolim and cleared out the cultists in a battle that took place across nearly every space of the building.
