Pooka started hearing whispers from unknown sources while in the woods. He didn't understand the language at first for a few months until a odd traveling merchant singing drew his attention. The female merchant seemed familiar and also so very foreign. This is where Pooka began his interest in the Sylvain language and people. The fascination grew as he felt the lure from merchant and her stories. His emotions turned the once only view of his life and culture as"The Way " to as a choice. Then he saw his clan's ways as a prison and very limited into how one may worship and celebrate ones deity. He no longer wanted to feel chained as fodder for some war lord than truly be free. I feel along his travels a high member of a woodcarver guild became enthrall in the oddity of a Bugbear acting independently and one with a interest in the arbors. This mentor was an artist of totems and this drew Pooka into believing using a totem along with the heads of strong leaders would be a great offering to h is twin gods. Now Pooka leaves to find the right core material for the totem that would be worthy of tribute.
