Drunken Whale Tavern

The most prolific tavern franchise in the entire Multiverse. In any corner of any world, you will find a Drunken Whale Tavern close by. Every owner of a Drunken Whale Tavern has come into owning the property by odd circumstances and not a single one can tell you who built any of the Drunken Whale Taverns or even when it was built. And if you know how to ask, all of them claim their tavern is haunted. 
Common stories of the supernatural from Drunken Whale's include the odd fact that not a single owner has ever been able to successfully rename their tavern after taking over. Even if they put a new sign up and destroy the old one, Come morning the old Drunken Whale sign is hanging back up with no trace of the new sign or any recent tampering. 
Another common complaint among Drunken Whale proprietors is how every single night at close, no matter how many times its recounted or watched during the shift. The till is always short 13 coins. Very few owners will admit this oddity freely, worried it reflects poorly on their business acumen, but to the few owners who have accepted this particular problem, It is quietly referred to as the "Whale Tax". Most owners prefer not to know where the coins are going and remain superstitious but accepting that its just a cost of business. The few owners who can't accept the losses and try to get to the bottom of the mystery, usually are meet with unfortunate fates that has the Tavern ownership passing to someone else in odd circumstances.
