Wildemount

Wildemount is the Eastern continent of Exandria. It is a continent that has undergone many ages of discovery, conflict, destruction and renewal. Wildemount today is a deeply scarred but slowly healing land of rebirth. Hints of ancient civilizations that were completely destroyed by the Calamity can be found all across the lands.   There are four current civilizations of Wildemount that have been built atop the ruins of the past. These young states struggle to establish power on the continent as the drums of war grow ever louder between the two most powerful nations.
  • Dwendalian Empire: A young and ambitious state born of decades in strife. Located in the heartland of Wildemount, the Empire is dotted with small villages built among ruins of ancient civilizations. This nation is mostly human and has done everything to amass power and expand the empire as quickly as possible. The capital is awash in political intrigue as the corrupt Cerberus Assembly pushes for war with the Kryn Dynasty.
  • Clovis Concord: A Republic of eight City-States lining the Menagerie Coast. This tropical region is rich with history and known for a lively, free-spirited culture that contrasts sharply with Wildemount's other, politically narrow-minded nations. It has a deep culture, heavily influenced by nautical exploration and trade. It does not have many enemies among the other nations of Wildemount but is instead in a constant battle with the chaotic Revelry Pirates.
  • Tribes of Shadycreek Run: A fragmented coalition of thieves, slavers and scoundrels who have managed to amass some power in the frigid backwater of Shadycreek Run to the far North. The tribes are the weakest of Wildemount's nations, as they have failed to enrich themselves through unorganized crime alone. Their continued existence is owed in large part to the fact that no other nation is interested in the permanently frozen north enough to bring them to heal.
  • Kryn Dynasty: Empire of surface dwelling Drow Elves who have welcomed many citizens who despite being civilized, would be considered monsters in any other lands. These include Minotaurs, Goblinkin and Gnolls. Secret magics have allowed powerful families to maintain control and gain power in the Kryn Dynasty. The diverse makeup of the empire along with many secrets of power have made the Kryn dynasty the primary target of the less tolerant Dwendalian Empire. Boarder skirmishes have been slowly leading to all out war.
In addition to the four major nations of Wildemount, brave seafaring traders from the port city of Damali have recently rediscovered the lost sub-continent of Chult by finding safe passage through the dangerous Deep Row Reef.   As the dark cloud of war hangs over the mainland of Wildemount, the mysterious, unexplored jungles of Chult have lured in many would be adventurers. However, some have learned that a dark secret lies in the heart of Chult that has implications for the entire world.
