Personal history

Glynda is/was Salem and Ozpin’s teacher, and the one who taught them how to master their aura, this making Glynda an immortal as well. This keeps with her allusion of Glinda the Good Witch teaching Oz how to use magic, and also gives her an importance to the plot. When Glynda or Ozpin decide to train Ruby this creates a Master-Apprentice Chain, which happens a few times in this character webbing, such as: Raven-Adam-Blake, Glynda-Ozpin-Yang, Glynda-Salem-Cinder-Weiss, Glynda-Ozpin-Qrow-Ruby, etc.
