Etox

The story behind the Etox's discovery is quite funny. Those Eirish are always high and mighty about what brilliant sailors they are and how they discovered all of the New World and all that. And yet the biggest discovered landmass to this day, the only one large enough to be called a continent, was discovered by a stray Ardenian vessel that was blown off its course and lost in the ocean. How ironic is that?

The continent of Etox lies far away from the main trade routes of the New World, which is why it was late to be discovered. However, its rising importance has drawn much attention to the area, causing many explorers to traverse its waters and settle the islands found around Etox. The main point of interest, however, remains the continent itself. Large and abundant, it is inhabited by a race known as Slocosians whose people are renowned for the dark tone of their skin. However, Etox was invaded by the Ardenian Empire shortly after its discovery and the Slocosians' society has crumbled, leaving them divided. The once-proud empire ruling the land was no more, and Ardenians have been putting their best effort at conquering all of it ever since.
