Session 21 - Betrayal

The adventuring party ventured through the door, but Thejeon and Zelmar opted not to accompany them. After defeating a frost salamander and rescuing Magnus and Agda, the party acquired a skull that served as the key to the main entrance. Upon entering, they discovered a dark knight who had captured a hag-like creature. The hag bore numerous cuts, and rusty swords were scattered on the ground.   Grateful to the party for opening the vault, the knight requested that they leave, taking Magnus and Agda with them. The party faced and overcame a Hydra to regain entry, suspecting betrayal. Once back inside, they found Magnus and Agda lifeless. Following an intense and dangerous confrontation, the party vanquished the dark knight and liberated the hag, who was revealed to be the cursed spirit of the lake.   In gratitude, the spirit ensured the party's safe passage across the lake and bestowed upon them the enchanted blade wielded by the dark knight. Meanwhile, Thejeon and Zelmar were left to contemplate their choices. They must decide whether to support the group during perilous times or risk abandoning them to potential demise in future conflicts.
