Meet the Game Masters

For those new to D&D or roleplay games, the term “Game Master” refers to those individuals who speak on behalf of the world surrounding the player. These are the narrators, the engines of fate, the individuals who read our requests, define the environment, and dictate the fate elicited by the rolls of our dice.   Chromatia features two sets of game masters: Chromatian Staff, and Miscellania.

Chromatian Staff

Chromatian Staff are the defacto rulers of the realms, the ultimate power in the cosmos and the universe. Aside from the administrative and custodial duties staff take on, staff coordinate and organize the main story line of the world and are in control of major impacts altering history and the world in their wake. Major “non-player characters” (NPCs) are each controlled by one or more of the staff, helping to ground the world and give structure to the environment players play in.   The server’s founder is Gan. Gan is the end-all-be-all of decisions, story writing, and breaking ties on administrative votes.    Alongside Gan are Alex, Kira, Nex, Vulkan, and Wraith. This neurotic bunch of misfits can’t help but create new content and ideas for everyone to share in and help keep some semblance of order in the game’s core rules and lore.   And yes. We are all actively plotting to murder you.

Miscellania

Whereas Staff are the greater powers overseeing the stability of the game world, Miscellania are members of the community running their own content to help add life to the minutia of the world's day-to-day. Considered our "community game masters," anyone is allowed to contribute Miscellania content to create their own lore and advance their own side stories and character development in staff's absence. If you're interested in running your own content, check out the Miscellania guide for rules and references.
