Mulligans

We’ve all done it. We started an RPG, excited to play, made something we thought was really cool, then later … well, later, after we learned how the game works, realized the character we made was a hot mess, but we’re already so far invested in the game we can’t just start over at level one without losing far more progress than we’d have liked.   Yeah, well, Chromatian Staff understand that too, and are cool.   All characters have a free mulligan they can spend at any time after character creation to change stats, abilities, and traits, no questions asked. Started as a fighter, but realized you actually like playing a wizard better? Use a mulligan. You don’t necessarily need to come up with any lore reasons for the switch – while we like to see these types of character development, the chaotic nature of the world’s timelines establishes that sudden, sweeping changes are not noticed by the world’s population.   You didn’t suddenly become a wizard. You were always a wizard. That sort of thing. Check out Time in Chromatia for more information.   If and when you choose to use a mulligan, simply head on over to #character-sheets, open your sheet thread (you may have to check in archived threads and unarchive if it’s been a while), and provide a summary of what stats, abilities, or features you are changing. For example:
Ioskarr’s Starter Mulligan   Score Changes
DEX 14 -> 8
INT 8 -> 14
WIS 12 -> 14
CHA 14 -> 12

Feat Changes
Aberrant Dragonmark -> Keen Mind
Skill Expert (Con) -> Skill Expert (Int)
  The change must still otherwise follow the limitations of character creation (don’t go over your original point buy limitations, etc).   You gain an additional mulligan at level 10, whenever a significant or limited feature is added to the server, and any time a sourcebook releases with new character options. Sourcebook mulligans only apply to characters who were made and approved before the sourcebook was added to the server. Otherwise, there is no limit on how many mulligans you may “store” so to speak.

Current Bonus Mulligans

Your character must have been created and approved before the listed date to be considered eligible for the mulligan in question.
