Trade Goods

Trade goods and mundane materials don’t come up often in regular play except by and for players who want it, and game masters looking for ways of representing wealth and goods beyond piles and piles of gold. Which isn’t a bad thing, but hey, variety is nice.
Be mindful that trade goods (including art and jewelry) exchange at a 1:1 value. Unless you're trying to make a specific deal, like upselling an item to a desperate NPC, trade goods are both bought and sold at 100% of their book value. 
We use the trade goods table provided in the PHB as a basis. If you’re ever looking to buy or exchange materials not listed on the Trade Goods table, consider an equivalent substitute. If you’re not sure, check in #ask-a-gan.
