Born in Russia, Larissa & her mother migrated to New Zealand when she was about 10. Three years later they made it into Australia, living in Melbourne. Larissa's mother was a seamstress and fashion designer and soon became involved in the Melbourne fashion scene. This also led her to meet Arthur, a reasonably influential member of the Melbourne underground. Arthur & Nadia became a pair but as Larissa got older and her mother became sick, Arthur started taking Larissa to events. Unfortunately Arthur cajoled Larissa into sex when she was 15. Since then, Larissa has reluctantly been is his power. He is generous to her in other ways but she always has to pay for it in the end. Larissa managed to finish school and University and has become a ED nurse. She is very compassionate and empathic. There is a sadness about her that not many people see because she feels trapped with Arthur. Sometimes he loans her to other underground figures. She has attempted to get away but it never works out and she feels that she is very weak because of this. She gets very emotional about other people being abused/raped although she is very stoic about her own experiences. It must be her fault, right?

After being taken upstairs in the club, Larissa starts talking to a handsome young man, Brandon. He is roughly her own age, which is a refreshing change for Larissa, as she usually finds herself in the company of older men. She enjoys his company, he is a very good conversationalist and very charismatic. She probably drank a little too much, or maybe the drink was spiked? She talks too much about things she normally keeps to herself. He starts talking about helping her to get out of her situation, that she deserves a better life... They start making out and she enjoys it although she doesn't really have all her wits about her. When the bite came, she hardly noticed it, pain is not unusual for Larissa. This pain was almost enjoyable and did arouse her. She started to couple with him, not even noticing how weak she was becoming. It was pain and bliss at the same time...In fact she didn't really notice that she was nearly dead... Larissa awoke after dusk the next evening. She had a thirst like never before. She was in a nice apartment she had never seen before. What was she doing there? How did she get there? Where was she? Brandon was there... his face only a little familiar, looking rather pleased with himself. Brandon easily carried over an unconscious young man. Brandon smiled at her and told her to drink. Larissa didn't know what he meant. Her nursing instincts kicked and she started to examine the young man. He was breathing faintly. "We need to help him!" "No, he is going to help you." With that, Brandon used a small spike to pierce a vein in the man's neck. He showed Larissa the blood oozing out. She was shocked for a moment before the thirst took over and she fed... Larissa had never been so thirsty! She drank and drank and drank. It was warm and think and glorious. Like a babe, she fell asleep while feeding. Sometime later, she awoke, laying next to a body that was not as warm as it should be. "He's dead!" she thought. She tried to resuscitate him but it was much too late for that. She saw the wound at his neck and felt the blood around her mouth. "NOOOO!" Larissa had killed. She hated herself. What had she become? Brandon returned sometime later to a woman in total despair. He wasn't particularly sympathetic. "You'll get used to it", he said. "No, you don't have to kill them but it's usually tidier if you do." Larissa just wanted to kill herself... "That's not so easy," Brandon said with a smirk, of course not telling her the ways it could be done. "Why did you do this to me?" "You were so sad and so pretty." "Now I'm beyond miserable and a killer." "You'll come around, let me show you what you can do." Thus Brandon began to teach a very miserable and reluctant Larissa the ways of the night world. She was very uncooperative at first but of course, eventually that hunger began to build and it is SOO powerful! She had to learn how to control it to avoid killing again. Relationship with her Sire: Larissa is annoyed but accepting of the fact that she wasn't asked about dying. It's the way things usually pan out for her. She rarely gets to decide her own fate. She resents him because of that but, as with Arthur, is also tied to him and needs him to help find her way in this new, dark, world. She hates that he allowed her to kill her first victim. She has vowed never to kill for blood again. Rather than gain her freedom, Larissa feels she has another master... but the sex is better! Larissa now works the night shift. Always the night shift. She still has her small apartment but the roller shutters are always down. She is slowly learning about this new 'life'. She is not happy - yet... but maybe one day... She still has some connection to Arthur. He has his uses. Arthur is a little bemused at Lara's subtle changes, but he is getting older, he is not too bothered that he has lost a little control. She will come back when she gets into trouble. Hunting is not easy for her yet as she will not take an unwilling victim. However she has means of convincing people... Larissa suspects Brandon is a malignant Narcissist. He likes having Lara around because she looks good on his arm but everything is really about him. Although he pretends to understand and empathise, he really doesn't. Lara likes to escape to her own place when she can and going to work is a great relief to her - and often provides an opportunity to feed. Brandon is very ambitious and Lara realises she is little more than a trophy. She needs to learn what she can from him before he finds a new toy...
