Elves

The elves of the Ironlands are probably the most contemporary of all the sentient species of the ironlands. They love coming up with new wooden devices to make work easier. They have learned the "technology" and nature can co exist.

The elves produce lots of wood, but they never cut a tree down. They cut tree branches down, in such a way that the branches grow back. They have become masters at this art, to the point that every long established elven settlement looks like a forest of bansai trees.
