AshenBuar
AshenBuar is a volcanic island just off the eastern coast of southern Evermist. The island was believed to be recently formed within the past three thousand years. Wood elves and Cystern elves eventually would find the island and both stook claim over it. This led to a small schism between the two elven subraces, which would be known as the Ashen schism. Neither side would turn victorious over another, and the High elves would eventually intervene, and curse the elves that had spilled elven blood to be bound to the island. Many years after the schism had ended, the elves began to adapt to their new home and took on an entirely different appearance. Soon, many different sub-races would be born from AshenBuar, such as the Dark elves, the Fire elves, and the Smouldering Elves. These elves would later be able to connect back to their kin in Evermist by crossing the World Bridge. ordered to be constructed by Naeryndam Glynynore after seeing the potential of the rare crystals known as Cryllae Stones, which are what the Alluin Palace in Pae is built from.
Geography
The North of Ashenbuar is known as the Dustwraps, a hilly and extremely dry environment in which those not accustomed to such an environment must wear special protective gear. This region also contains ash storms when the neighboring volcanic peaks errupt. Clans in this region are neutral-yet protective of outsiders, and would prefer to be left alone. Water is collected from the Glenndorinn, who summon massive springs to shoot forth from the ground, in which the locals collect.A God Prison
It is rumored by the elves that Ashenbuar was once an underwater prison for the Jeharen that invaded Wold early in its creation. Those who did so were imprisoned within the underwater land, with special cells being present for the more aggressive divinities. When the island rose from the sea, possibly from a breakout attempt by some of the divinities, many of divinities escaped east, perhaps to the Forgotten Land. Only the most aggressive divinities within their specialized cells remained, which the present dark elves give a wide berth.
