Black Sail

Black Sail is a massive Island off the northern coast of Airgona. It is known for its rough and rugged terrain along with its deadly wildlife. The island was first documented on maps by the Eislanians from the Bewildering Armada that came to Archtun. The Eislanians described the island as a place not made by people with soft lives, and that the island was full of dangerous terrain, wildlife, and vegetation. It is believed the gnomes were the second after the Eislanians to discover the island, sending an expedition to scout the island out for possible colonization. however, only half of the gnomian expedition returned and plainly stated that the island was to be cursed by their mages and never be returned to. The northern part of the island is dominated by a short but tall mountain range, with a volcano named Mount Bane in the middle. Mount Bane was reported to be very active, causing the weather of the island to be far warmer than possible without the volcano. It is reported that the lava from the volcano has magical properties not seen anywhere before on Wold, and that is why the Eislanians have an interest in the island.
It is rumored that Black Sail is the location where Prisce Feldor of Helifex dueled Pricse Mozran and prisce Vexwaith during The Godly wars between Helifex and Kenhrack. The three Prisces fought over control of the Old Lands when Kenhrack wished to wrestle it out of the control of Helifex. The duel reportedly ended with Prisce Mozran mortally wounding Prisce Feldor after Kenhrack tricked Price Feldor into giving up his godly armor, killing the god as he gushed blood, which is now Mount Bane. It is now believed that the lava has magical qualities because it is actually the blood from Prisce Feldor.
